What is “Move For Autism”?

Children with autism have many different issues. Some of them are fine motor skills development. That's why we developed Art for Autism.

A lot of our children also have problems with coordination. Not just typical coordination problems, but real problems. Their muscles haven.t developed properly. Some are smaller than their peers. They are intimidated to participate in team sports. Most team sports are competitive. And there are a great number of children with autism that find it difficult to keep up.

Enter The Dockery Foundation. We have developed a special program called "Move For Autism". It focuses on helping children with Autism to improve their physical coordination, muscular development, and social skills in a non-competitive environment.

Move For Autism encompasses a soccer program as well as other athletic programming. This would be at no cost to our families.

The Dockery Foundation and our wonderful benefactors feel the very strong call to step in and help our families! Move for Autism is in development stages. We hope to put a program together by the fall of '08. If you have resources available that will help us "Move for Autism", please contact Deb or Trey Dockery at (662) 890-0127.
